Cookie Policy.
This Policy explains the cookies and browser storage ClearLedger uses on its public website and protected PDF parsing application.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text records stored by a browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can save preferences on your device without sending them automatically with every web request.
2. Technologies we use
| NAME | TYPE | PURPOSE | DURATION |
|---|---|---|---|
clearledger_session | Strictly necessary first-party cookie | Maintains authenticated access to the protected app and document APIs. Configured as HTTP-only, Secure on HTTPS, and SameSite=Strict. | Up to 7 days under the current configuration, or until logout/deletion. |
clearledger-language | Local storage | Remembers the English or Chinese language preference inside the protected application. | Until cleared in the browser. |
clearledger-site-language | Local storage | Remembers the language preference on the public product website. | Until cleared in the browser. |
3. Third-party requests
Pages currently request font files from Google Fonts. The font provider may receive technical request information such as IP address, browser type, and requested resource under its own privacy terms. ClearLedger does not use that request to track users across websites.
4. Your choices
You can delete cookies and local storage through browser settings. Blocking the essential session cookie will prevent sign-in and protected app features from working. Clearing language storage resets the interface to its default language.
5. Consent and future changes
Because the current cookie is strictly necessary to deliver requested security and app functionality, ClearLedger does not display a consent banner for it. If we add non-essential analytics, advertising, or similar technologies, we will update this Policy and provide consent controls where required before using them.
